Statement Regarding Grant-A-Wish mission:
To All Of Our Amazing A Million Thanks Supporters~
We regret to say that the Grant-A-Wish mission of A Million Thanks is temporarily suspended as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first few months of the pandemic, the A Million Thanks volunteer executive team tried hard to keep all three missions of A Million Thanks up and running. As the pandemic and affiliated economic downturn carried on, there was a significant decrease in financial support to A Million Thanks and all non-profit organizations alike. The Send-A-Letter mission saw a gigantic increase in volume of letters for our troops, and as a result, A Million Thanks decided to temporarily direct all available capacity to support the Send-A-Letter mission. The letters were coming to A Million Thanks in record numbers as many people continued to be stuck at home. In an effort to support our veterans who had wishes that we were actively working on granting when we made the decision to temporarily suspend the mission, A Million Thanks granted almost all of those wishes from reserve funds. We are working on granting the final wishes at the present time until we can launch our Grant-A-Wish mission to our supporters once again. The date for the re-launch of the Grant-A-Wish mission is yet to determined. We certainly appreciate your understanding and encourage you to support our Send-A-Letter and Fund-A-Scholar missions at the present time.
