STUDENT AMBASSADOR CORPS
Most leadership programs teach students to serve. A Million Thanks® Student Ambassador Corps teaches them to lead others in serving.
Our student ambassador program will teach the next generation of leaders how to mobilize their communities, organize projects, and inspire others to support service members, veterans, and military families in a meaningful way.
Through this youth lead program, we can change how the world views our nations hero’s, one project at a time.
YEAR ONE REQUIREMENTS
The A Million Thanks mission is to connect communities with service members, veterans, and military families through meaningful acts of gratitude and support.
Requirements:
-
- Complete online orientation
- Community sponsor for accountability
- Complete one signature care package project (25 Boxes)
- Collect 250 handwritten letters
- Raise $750 in cash support shipping
- Raise in-kind donations for care packages
- Earn 500 Mission Points (Approx. 25 hrs)
- Attend virtual accountability meetings
These requirements ensure every ambassador is consistently contributing letters, service hours, and support toward delivering appreciation to service members and veterans.
YEAR TWO AND BEYOND
As your ambassador enters year 2 and beyond, expectations grow to reflect your experience and leadership. The focus shifts to expanding impact and connecting with your wider community. While all ambassadors will have the same requirements as year one, they will also have the opportunity to grow as a leader in our organization.
They will then have the opportunity to apply to be a Senior Student Ambassador in their second year. Senior Ambassadors then have the opportunity to apply to be a Lead Ambassador during their third year.
VOLUNTEER HOURS
Ambassadors choose Mission Challenges that best fit their community. Every completed Mission Challenge earns Mission Points and represents measurable progress toward completing their Signature Project.
Mission Challenges will include letters, service, leadership, outreach, and fundraising.
Mission Points
Each Mission Challenge is assigned a point value based on the time, leadership, planning, and impact involved. Mission Points recognize progress and encourage Ambassadors to develop a well-rounded leadership experience.
While some Mission Challenges may take longer than others, Ambassadors who earn 500 Mission Points will have completed approximately 25 hours of service.
FUNDRAISING
Each AMT ambassador will be provided with a unique online fundraising link to share with family, friends, and supporters. This gives your ambassador the flexibility to design their own fundraiser and track progress directly online.
Every ambassador will be required to raise at least $750 in cash to support shipping care packages to the troops.
In kind donations will be collected to provide supplies for care packages.
By joining A Million Thank® Ambassador Corps you become part of a nationwide movement of youth committed to honoring and encouraging our service members and veterans.
To get started, ask your parent or guardian to help register you as youth ambassador!

“Our unit was extended past the year mark, and morale was running low. The letters we received gave us something positive to hold onto. They made me feel human again in a place that tries to strip that away.”
