APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

APPLICATION WINDOW

Applications are accepted twice a year:

  • January 1 – March 31
  • July 1 – October 15

Awards are available based on need and merit and may be partial or full tuition coverage.

Awards are not renewable (but you may apply again!).

Awards are secondary to other funding sources including government programs.

Payment will be made directly to the school.

Submission of an application does not guarantee a scholarship. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be a surviving child of a U.S. Military Service Member who lost their life on or after October 7, 2001, during the course of their active duty responsibilities while serving their country.

You must be enrolled or accepted at an eligible educational institution (college, university or accepted trade school) that meets federal accreditation standards.

You must be able to prove financial need of funds (for need-based award). You must submit a completed application and 500-word essay answering the question “Why is it important for me to continue my education and how does my education fit into the plan I have for my life”.

If the above qualifications are met, click on the ‘Scholarship Application Request’ button above. Fill out the application, and submit it along with all additional documents, essays and supporting information.

A Million Thanks provides support and appreciation to our active and veteran military men and women through sending letters and granting betterment of life wishes, as well as providing higher education scholarships to their children.

We collect and distribute millions of letters of thanks and support and send them directly to our active, reserve, and veteran military


We grant wishes to our injured military veterans that make their lives more enjoyable.


We provide merit and need based scholarships to children of fallen military

A Million Thanks, Inc. (AMT) is a nonprofit organization that is recognized by the IRS as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Generally, donations to AMT are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.  All donations are received by AMT with the understanding that funds are subject to its full control and discretion.  AMT’s federal tax identification number is #26-0361789.
