Dear Friends of A MILLION THANKS:

Recently I took our A MILLION THANKS booth to the MIRAMAR AIR SHOW located just north of San Diego to collect letters for our troops.

The MIRAMAR AIR SHOW is the world's largest military air show and all I can tell you is if you want to see what our military is all about, make plans to attend this show next October.

Below are some pictures taken at the show that will give you an idea of what a great event this was. It was my family's first air show and from now on we won't miss it.

I want to thank the person who contacted me about coming to the Air Show, LtCol Mike Hatch. LtCol Hatch is the Air Show Operations Coordinator and is someone I can say now is a great friend of mine and supporter of A MILLION THANKS.

I was able to meet Brigadier General Carl B. Jensen, the Commander of the Marine Corps Air Bases Western Area, and Colonel Paul C. Christian, Chief of Staff, Marine Corps Bases Western Area. Both of these men were very supportive of us and I really appreciated their hospitality because we collected boxes of letters of thanks for our troops from Air Show fans.

The Miramar Air Show experience will be a life-long memory for me. The facilities on the base that handled hundreds of thousands of people were immaculate. The parking coming and going was a breeze due to the incredible planning and directions of the soldiers. The show itself was awesome and I got to see it all three days! The Blue Angels were beyond belief, the stunt planes and pilots were amazing, they had a race between a Russian MIG jet and a Peterbilt Truck that had 3 rocket engines on it, military attack demonstrations that my little brother said, "WOW..COOL!!". The car eating robot and the huge fireworks display at the end made us all proud to be Americans.

Make plans to attend the MIRAMAR AIR SHOW 2005!
